A total of 72 Campers can be accommodated in 12 bunkrooms.
There are also 2 common rooms which can be used as overflow accommodation for
a further 18 Campers, on portable beds available on request.
Bedding: Bunks and mattresses only are supplied.
Campers should supply all other bedding and pillows.
THE GUMS:
Provides sleeping accommodation for 24 in 4 rooms, each containing 3 double
bunk beds and an ensuite toilet. Two of the rooms have wheelchair accessible
shower and toilet.
Central in this building is a carpeted common room (4.5mx7.3m).
Beneath the dormitory are shower and toilet facilities.
This dormitory is to be used by all groups of 24 or less (where segregation
of sexes makes it possible).
THE PINES:
Provides sleeping accommodation for 48 in 8 rooms, each containing 3 double
bunk beds. All rooms have ensuite toilets. In the North West corner of this
building is a small bunkhouse sleeping an additional 15 (4.6mx7.3m).
CARAVAN AND TENT SITES
There are 8 powered caravan or tent sites east of The Pines. Numerous other
sites suitable for tents may be allocated at the discretion of the managers.
Occupants of these sites will generally pay the same fees as other campers.
ARRIVAL AT CAMP:
Please contact the manager at least one week before your camp to confirm both
arrival time and numbers.
No campers may enter any buildings until such time as the manager has
conducted a tour of inspection with the camp leaders.
DURING CAMP:
Noise levels must be kept to a minimum between 11 p.m. and 7a.m.. No outside
sound amplification permitted.
NO SMOKING INSIDE.
LEAVING CAMP:
Allow sufficient time for clean-up and packing before you leave. The managers
will advise the leaders of cleaning requirements, and provide cleaning
materials and equipment; they will conduct an inspection ONE HOUR before
departure.
GRAFFITI:
The camp is free of graffiti, and all occurrences found will incur a removal
fee.
FIRE EQUIIPMENT:
Misuse of extinguishers will incur a substantial cost for reinstatement.
Things to bring - all Campers:
Sleeping bags or blankets and sheets, pillows, sports equipment, first aid
kit, personal insect repellent, fly spray and a tea towel. We recommend the
wearing of fire-safe clothes, e.g. wool, or cotton. DON'T FORGET SUN SCREEN.
Plus - for self catered camps.
Plastic garbage bin liners, washing up equipment and detergent, kitchen
appliances, eg mixer, food processor.
DON’T FORGET TEA TOWELS & wipe down cloths.
